Karen Warner
Karen Warner joined Kurtzman Group in 2002. She has 27 years of corporate experience, holding management and executive positions in communications, marketing, and strategic planning. Karen has worked with some of the finest strategy and marketing groups in the world, including American Express and IBM, and within the entertainment, education, high tech and private equity sectors.
Concurrent with her partnership with Kurtzman Group, Karen is founder and managing partner of Karen Warner & Associates, a strategic advisory and executive development coaching firm, where she developed Marketing for Mere Mortals, a tool that helps companies accelerate business growth. She also creates tools for personal and professional development, which help individuals and groups realize the impact of their goals.
Before founding Karen Warner & Associates, Karen served as Vice President of Marketing for Atlas Venture, where she was responsible for the firm's marketing activities across three sectors in seven geographies worldwide. Prior to Atlas, she was at Lotus Development, where she was recruited to build Notes market share.
Karen studied international marketing in the Marketing Management program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. She has completed the Hudson Institute professional certification program and is a member of the International Coach Federation.
Karen is a practicing literary agent with The Helen Rees Agency in Boston, typically representing authors whose books explore the convergence of technology and business practice. Recent published books represented by the agency include MBA in a Box and Pirates of the Digital Millennium.
